It was a quiet evening, and an elderly woman was enjoying a leisurely walk with her small, fluffy dog. The air was crisp, and a gentle breeze rustled the leaves of the trees. Suddenly, the peaceful scene was shattered. A young man, moving with surprising speed, ran past her. In a flash, he had grabbed the purse she was holding and disappeared around the corner.

A couple who had been sitting on their porch across the street saw the entire incident. They were on their feet in an instant, running over to check on the woman. “Are you okay?” they asked, their faces full of concern. The man was already on his phone, explaining to the 911 dispatcher what had just happened. He reassured the woman, “The police are on their way; they’ll be here in a few minutes.”

To their surprise, the woman simply smiled. She seemed completely unbothered by what had just occurred. She gently patted their arms and said, “it’s really no big deal.” She went on to explain that the purse was an old one, a bit worn out, and she didn’t use it for money or anything valuable. “I actually use it to put my dog’s poop in it until I get home to dispose it,” she said with a chuckle.
